Valentine's Day Chocolates

Valentine Chocolate Dipped Oreo® CookiesDating back as far as the 1800's, the notion of sending romantic cards and gifts to their special someone was a popular tradition that has taken the world by storm in today's modern times. The heir of his family's chocolate company was Richard Cadbury, which had improved his chocolate mastery so much that he began to market his chocolate creations in elegant crafted boxes where he himself was responsible for the design and creation of.

The Victorian people lavished each other with these beautiful and delicious gifts and that legacy still holds true today.  With the addition of hearts, roses, and images of Cupid, these small boxes of chocolates are a undeniable staple that we see across store shelves starting in early January.  Not only now do we send gifts like the Heart of Chocolate Gift Box, but also baskets overflowing with chocolate decadence such as the famous Godiva Basket or the Valentine Chocolate Dipped Oreo Cookies.

From chocolates with creamy centers to sweet refined gifts of white or chocolate-covered cookies, the gift of sending chocolates to your special valentine still holds true today.  And we see no end in sight of this long-established tradition ending anytime soon!

New Year, New You!

We are full swing into a brand new year and we all start to think about ways to improve ourselves with those hard to stick to resolutions.  Whether it be trying to get into shape, earning more money or even something as simple as walking your dog more, resolutions are a way to improve ourselves so when we lay our head's down on our pillows at night, we feel like we have accomplished more than we did yesterday.  And that's a great feeling!

One of the resolutions that can be quite common is spending more time with family.  From visiting relatives that live an hour or two away to just calling mom and dad more often, reaching out to those you haven't heard from in a while is a great way to reconnect and strengthen the tight family bond.  You can visit in person, send a text, mail a card, or even just remembering someone special on their birthday will remind them that you are thinking about them.  From Birthday Gift Baskets to sending the younger cousins a small Easter gift, the moment they open that special treat they will look forward to reaching out to you even more.

So as you ease into the year, take some time to think about what you would like to improve on.  Perhaps you have some family members that you would like to stay in touch with more but life has just gotten in the way and it's become difficult.  There is no time like the present to reconnect with a special family member and remind them that they are still so very special to you!
